We Can Help

We Can Help

What do I do now?

An unintended pregnancy can feel overwhelming. You need a quiet place to process--where you can feel safe to share what’s on your mind and receive information about your options. Regardless of what you are considering in an unplanned pregnancy, we can help by providing all you need to make the best decision for you.

What are My Options?

Educate yourself. Get the facts. Know the different courses of action available to you. It might be scary, but you're not helpless. You have options, and we will help you understand them.

Confidential Support

Our trained client advocates are here to listen to your pregnancy concerns, and help you find answers. We will spend as much time as needed and you will not feel rushed or pressured to make a decision.

Options Counseling

At Shiloh Center you will meet with a trained client advocate to consider your pregnancy options and get the information you need. Receive clear and thoughtful education about pregnancy, abortion, parenting and adoption. We want to help you move towards a positive decision with clarity and strength.

Adoption Education: It is important to get the facts on the adoption process before making this decision. Adoption has changed over the years and now offers the birth mother several options of involvement with her child as well as power in choosing adoptive parents. Women considering this option are under no obligation or pressure to make an adoption plan, but can investigate and learn more as they desire.

Parenting Education: If you are considering parenting, but feel that you may not be ready or lack the skills to raise a child, Shiloh Center offers parenting classes and material assistance for Mom and baby through our one-on-one mentoring program called Earn While You Learn. You will be able to receive clothes, diapers and many other essential items available in our Boutique.

Abortion Education: If you are considering abortion, it is important to know all the facts before making this difficult, and life-changing decision. Information on the various types of abortion are available to you, how they are performed, and any risks associated with them can be discussed. Your health and safety are very important.

Medicaid Assistance

Our Nurse will provide you with verification of pregnancy which may be used in your application to Medicaid.

We offer limited obstetrical ultrasound to prove the viability of pregnancy. Shiloh Center is open Mondays and Thursdays from 10 am to 4 pm. Ultrasound is scheduled after your first appointment. Services are free and confidential.

You don’t have to go through an unplanned pregnancy alone. We will connect you with a caring client advocate who will listen, offer help, and connect you with community resources. Shiloh Center offers relationship and parenting education classes. Ongoing sessions are available for you, your partner, and your parents/guardians. Contact us 816-925-4596 for more information.

Healthy Pregnancy Education

We want you to have all the knowledge you need to keep you and your baby healthy during your pregnancy. The classes we offer will also prepare you for what to expect after your baby is born.

Here are some of the topics we cover:

  • Healthy Pregnancy
  • Nutrition
  • Infant care and bonding
  • Safety (car seats, safe sleep, etc.)

Baby Boutique

We know that parenting a child can be financially stressful, and concern over how to provide can feel overwhelming. Parents that take advantage of the classes and coaching offered at the Shiloh Center are invited to our Baby Boutique where they will find clothing, diapers, supplies, baby gear, formula and more to help them along their journey to parent. The Shiloh Center is here to help. You are not alone.
